Veterinary clinics
Every owner answered.
Every pet on the right record.
Attendra's vet pack knows owners, pets and species. It books visits, takes refill and records requests for your team, and when an animal is in danger it sends the owner to your emergency hospital at once, without guessing at symptoms.
67%
of calls to vet clinics in a 2025 Ohio State study got an appointment.
The rest did not.
24/7
answering, with your after-hours rule.
Requests at night, or bookings, your choice.
2
languages on every call: English and Spanish.
The emergency lists are in both.
Owners and pets
It finds the pet,
not just the phone number.
Owners call about one of several pets, and families share a phone. Attendra asks for the owner's full name and the pet's name, and matches them with the calling number. New clients and new pets are registered with species and an estimated age, and flagged for your team to check.
- Owner name, pet name and phone, checked together
- New pets registered with species and age, and flagged
- Every pet keeps its own visits, calls and requests
- Three failed checks end in a callback, never a guess
Hi, it is Ava Patel. I need to book Ziggy in, he is about eight months old.
Thanks, Ava. I do not see Ziggy yet, so I will add him. Is Ziggy a dog or a cat?
A dog.
Got it. Our first new patient exam is Wednesday at 9:00 AM with Dr. Elena Ruiz. Would that work?
Refills and records
Your vets approve.
The owner gets a text.
Refill requests land on your queue with the pet, the medication and the pharmacy or pickup choice. A vet approves or declines; when it is ready, the owner gets a text. Records requests for boarding, groomers or another clinic go to the same queue.
- Refill requests with medication and pickup
- Approve or decline in one click, with a text when ready
- Records requests, with where they should go
- Every request linked to its call and transcript
Refill request: Pepper
Waiting for a vetRabbit, meloxicam, pickup at the clinic
Text to owner: "Pepper's refill is ready for pickup at Riverbend Animal Hospital."
Animal emergencies
When a pet is in danger,
it sends them to help.
These phrases are checked in code on every caller turn, in English and Spanish, before the assistant says anything else. List your emergency hospitals with their hours, and the owner hears the one open right now, with its address and phone, and can get it by text. If you set an on-call number, the call is put through. No first aid, no symptom questions, and a person who is hurt hears to call 911.
Toxins and swallowed objects
Chocolate, rat poison, antifreeze, a sock
Breathing trouble
Cannot breathe, blue gums, open-mouth breathing
Trauma
Hit by a car, heavy bleeding, a snake bite
Collapse or seizure
Collapsed, seizing, "I think he is dying"
Bloat
A hard, swollen belly, retching with nothing coming up
Cannot urinate
Straining, or no urine at all
Heatstroke
Overheated, or left in a hot car
A difficult birth
In labour for hours, a puppy stuck
The animal emergency list is reviewed by a licensed veterinarian before each release that changes it.
After hours
Nights and weekends,
your rule, every time.
Choose what happens when you are closed: the assistant takes requests for the morning, or it books into your open times as usual. Either way, emergencies still go to your emergency hospital, and your team starts the day with a clear queue.
- Take requests only, or book as usual
- Emergencies go to the hospital open at that hour
- A morning queue with every call summarised, urgent ones first
- Works with your own number, forwarded after hours
Can I book Luna in for Saturday?
We are closed right now, so I cannot book tonight. I will leave a request for the front desk, and they will call you when we open at 8:00 AM. What is the best number?
What it will not do
No diagnosis.
No dosing. No guessing.
Questions about symptoms, doses or whether something is serious are refused in code and turned into a callback from your team, or into the emergency script when that is what the words call for. The model never decides this on its own.
- "Can I give him ibuprofen?" becomes a callback
- "Is that serious?" is never answered by the assistant
- Every refusal is logged with its reason
- You see the full list on the Quality page
Should I give her half an aspirin?
I cannot give medical advice. I can have one of our vets call you back today. Would you like that?
Refused: medical question. Callback request created.
Vet clinic questions.
Does it work with ezyVet or Provet Cloud?
Not yet. Today Attendra keeps its own schedule and pet records, and connects to your tools through webhooks and the API. Practice software integrations are on the roadmap; see the integrations page for their status.
Can we keep our phone number?
Yes. Forward your number to Attendra all day, after hours only, or when the line is busy. You can also take a new local number.
Which animals does it handle?
Any species your clinic sees. Each pet is registered with its species, and your team sees it on every booking and request.
What happens in an emergency?
The owner is sent to the emergency hospital you listed that is open right now, with its name, address and phone, and the call is flagged for your team. With an on-call number set, the call is put through. The assistant never gives first aid advice.
Can it send visit reminders?
Yes, if you turn them on. After a booking the assistant asks whether the owner wants a reminder text, and sends it only to owners who said yes, never in your quiet hours.
Can we track microchips or insurers?
Yes. Add your own fields to pets, vets and requests in Settings, and they show on every record.
Is pet data covered by HIPAA?
No. Veterinary records are not covered by HIPAA. Attendra still encrypts owner and pet details at rest and keeps an audit log of every action.
Give your clinic a receptionist that follows your rules.
Fourteen days free. Set it up in about 15 minutes, then call it yourself.
